#7 Thing-Technology

Okay... my thoughts on technology. I love the things that I'm able to do with the new technology I've learned, but oh my, there's so much more out there that it simply boggles my mind!! I think I'm getting too old to understand a lot of it, but more power to those who do understand and use it to its full potential. I admire you all! I do like the looks of those donuts though!

#6 Thing-Flikr Color Pickr

Well, I got pretty "bogged down" with the mashup business. It's getting too complicated for my "pea brain"! I did, however, like some of them, especially the Flikr Color Pickr. I love color, especially bright colors, so I liked all of the bright colors found on this sight. It totally amazes me that this all can be done! And how do people find the time to explore all of this?? That's all for now.

#5 Thing-Still Learning

My assignment was to add a link for something I found on Flickr. I love to cook (and eat) and love recipes. This is the link I got when I typed in "recipes", with lots of pretty pictures, many including the recipes. There are a lot to look at, that's for sure! This dessert looks yummy!

#4 Thing

Well, after much contemplation, I've decided the easiest of the 7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners is Habit 2: Accept responsibility for your own learning. Not that I'm good at jumping in and learning, but I do know that it's my responsibility to take the initiative to learn, even though I usually need lots of help with learning some things, especially those things electronic or computer related. This is probably because of the hardest of the 7 1/2 Habits ... for me, which is Habit 4: Have confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner. I have confidence in myself once I learn something, but I'm often intimidated at the thought of learning something new. Also, I'm not a competitive person. That's all for now!

#3 Thing-The Blog

Okay. I'm trying to expand my horizens and learn about this "blogging thing". Learning new things, especially computer "things" gets harder the older I get, but thanks to the encouragement of my supervisor, I'm giving it a try. Wish me luck!! I have created my blog and added this post. Yeah!!
